Heartbreak and Community

Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality.”

~ Emily Dickinson

This year’s Christmas was jarred in my community by a senseless loss for a remarkable family.  I do hope those who have big cash and big hearts who hear this story feel called to contribute to ease the family’s road ahead.  Doing what one can in the face of enormous grief – being there, recognizing grief is nothing abnormal in life, taking it easy on one another, telling our children we love them, helping them put their feelings into artwork gifts for the family, preparing meals.  These are little things we can do.
