I don’t know where I’m going, but I am so glad to be moving in the direction of my authenticity.
Over the past 2 years, I have felt a shift in my thinking while simultaneously witnessing many shifts around the world, but more than that, a subtle shift of energies coming through in dream form, image form, inspiration, words, unusual connections with people.
Then 2 weeks ago an e-mail appeared in my inbox about The Shift Network, and suddenly something clicked. You know you are in the right place when you have little money but scholarships are thrown at you. This year I received a scholarship to study with an intuition coach for a month, and now received a scholarship to participate in a 12-week training with Barbara Marx Hubbard.
Turns out there have been many thousands of people around the world specifically over the past 2 years experiencing a similar thing, a turning toward something of a greater humanity than we have ever known but something we do not know yet.
I feel honored to be able to absorb the energy from this 82-year-old amazing visionary who seems ageless. Here I am using my cell phone minutes accrued from months of probably the loneliest, most isolative time of my life to connect to possibly the best minds and spirits ever to cross my path. The trainings are part lecture, part readings, part group meditation/visioning, part small group circles of 3-4 people from around the world. I could not stop smiling the entire 2 hours of class. These are spontaneous connections at a level that is truly heart-based and like-minded.
The way I think of it is a spiritual/energetic parallel to the political (Arab Spring) and economic (99%/Occupy movements) worldwide revolutions. It’s either become part of a move toward something better for all humanity or dig your heels in and try to hold onto what was.
My working 60 hours a week at a desk job for little pay because I need health insurance for my child is part of what was. . . an outdated broken system. We all know it, but do not see an alternative just yet.
I have not felt this much in the right place since, I do not know when.
Next on my reading list, thanks to Barbara:
