Another Animal Visitor

Two of these lovely emerald wavy-lined moths appeared on my windowsill on the night of the full moon this week.

I have written of several interesting animal encounters over the past months including the green tree frog in my shower, but 2 of them are not commonly found in the area where I live (the ruby-throated hummingbird and this little beauty of a moth).

As the Pacific Northwest is virtually the only region of the US not affected by severe drought, I speculate whether climate shifts might be causing animals to move over a few states?

Whatever the cause, these encounters have a “magical quality” and I am happy to see them.
