I am not a runner. I am just a mom and a past volunteer for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, who passed my name along to these folks, Tore and running buddy Shannon. I gave them permission to use my daughter’s cancer journey as inspiration and fundraising and loaned them her “Hero Beads,” each bead representing a piece of the treatment journey.
Today I was stunned at the beauty of this tribute using my child’s single story as a focal point to represent all those currently facing blood cancer treatments. (For those of you not on Facebook, I hope you can view this outside FB).

If you feel inspired to donate, here is Tore and Shannon’s fundraising page:
Shannon will be running his own 100-mile journey in Whatcom County supported by volunteers, family and friends, and I hope to be there in September to support him.
They have inspired me more than they will ever know, and I am extremely grateful for their beautiful tribute to the hardest part of my child’s journey.
Please join me in sending a big WHOOSH of energy their way on August 24 for Tore and September 14 for Shannon.
