Rewilding

Over this month I have been participating (okay intermittently) with a 30-day challenge that has been one of the most rewarding, inspiring things ever!  It is called the:  Rewild Your Life 30 Day Challenge

Turns out they are offering another 30 days in October, so grab your Facebook page and join!  I guarantee you, if all you do is absorb the real-time daily posted photos from around the world of people enjoying the nature near them, it will be well worth your time.

During September, I have seen amazing spider webs, plants, people’s favorite “thinking spots,” gorgeous sunsets, harvest moon shots, mountains, lakes, country roads, streams, listened to video clips of nature sounds (even a group of kissing baby manatees!), and read notes about people seeking solace in their own breath and footsteps outside for their uber busy days.

This challenge helps me remember to go outside each day and stop making excuses, while providing a great backdrop for my computer time.  Even during days I have gotten in arguments with my “normal teen” who appears at times to prefer I not exist, and have worked 12 hours at the computer, the Rewilding community has affirmed for me the value of walking at night and soaking up the stars, the moonlight, visiting the backyard whenever possible, and simply enjoying being here.

Let the Rewilding recommence!
