Conversations With Trees #12

Rewild 008

Today’s tree:

Hearts of Gold (Redbud),

Cercis canadensis

This tree aptly resides in front of a healing arts practice in my area.  I have not seen it in spring, but apparently Redbuds are covered in bright red/pink blooms before it’s year’s leaves emerge.

I intend to post photos taken the actual day in which I write, but in this case I will be spending the day hiking amid fall foliage under what is forecast to be a sun-filled blue sky but is currently a blanket of gray.   This tree’s images are from an earlier twilight’s photos in the rain.  In other words. . . this is not a weather report!

The cascades of these hearts is something too amazing to capture with a tiny cam.  If you ever have an opportunity to see one of these Hearts of Gold trees for yourself or perhaps plant one, it seems a glorious being to be around!

The wind gently moves these branches into a blur of gold and green shelter.
