Happy Love Day!

My heart is full to bursting.  Humming actually.  Singing.  Playing.

This blog hosts all my poems that remain spared from a computer crash, but now it also hosts a new tab for my ancient keyboard recordings!!  Check out the piano and harpsichord and let it play in the background while you do other things.  : )  Here is the link, since people are telling me they can’t find the recordings at the tab atop the blog:  Erin’s Music.

I have been reunited after 25 to 30 years with a beautiful piece of me that was the product of years of diligent self-motivated work from ages 7 through 20 (and thanks to my parents for all those lessons!).  And now I have proof it existed thanks to the generosity of a remarkable person and my folks for saving the cassettes lo these many years.  It feels like the completion of a cycle, a returning home, a full circle back to a part of me that no longer exists in that form.

Some of them are better quality than others, but most are recorded on a Walkman and one is recorded on an old recorder prior to Walkmans existing.  That’s how far in time I have traveled!

I will be spending this Valentine’s eve with my daughter at a fundraiser for one of the best things my community does (Hearts & Hammers) and if I can somehow figure out a way to sell individual pieces on my recordings to donations for my community’s causes, I will try.

Thanks for visiting, Etienne – I assume you mean from the post Valentine Pour Moi? The little hamster singing? Hope it makes people smile as it did me. : )
