Joy

My culture tells me joy is what happens if I buy a certain piece of clothing or car or home or food or be with a certain person or have a certain body shape.  For many people joy is loud, bursting with colors, maybe music, maybe ecstatic expression.

For me, joy is a quiet, calm, amazed, child-eyed awe when looking life in the face.

A gallery of some of my joy from a few hours on my favorite beach this week.
