Rainbows and Unicorns (Sort of)

A timely jaunt between torrential April downpours made me think of the phrase “rainbow and unicorns.” I never understood it is a sarcastic phrase to mean cluster of unfortunate events. And then, of course I had to google its linguistic history. Certainly, when you need to work 7 days a week, it is wonderful when a place like this is walking distance. I mean, it’s about as close to the real deal of rainbows and unicorns as you can get, without the drama.

First, my favorite outdoor meditation tree. Every time I sit there, I experience the forest breathing as one. It is an area called “Bent Tree Trail” for obvious reasons, where there are several bent trees. I believe geologic forces and/or weather is the cause, but there is an even more extreme forest in Poland I would love to see where every tree is bent.
